Biography
Lily Vazquez was born in Pinar del Rio, in the western Cuba home of the famous tobacco and some of the greatest musicians in history. As a teenager, Lily Vazquez performed at the Festival del Caribe in Guadalupe and Martinique. Later on, she studied Cuban music at the Superior Institute of Arts, in La Havana. Vazquez also worked many years as vocal soloist in the worlwide famous Tropicana in La Habana. She has worked with many great musicians including Alberto Soria, a well-known Cuban musician and founder of the Cuban group NG La Banda. She has sung with different Cuban groups and in many luxury hotels in Varadero and in La Havana.
She has toured to many countries around the globe including: Japan, Canada, Spain, Guatemala, Martinique, Guadalupe and Italy. Since 2001 she has been living with her family in Germany.
Discography
In 2001 and 2003 she was invited as guest singer in the shows of the worldwide famous salsero Oscar d´Leon from Venezuela in Darmstadt Central Station and Frankfurts Chango Latin Palace and earned a lot of aplause from the enthusiastic audience.
In 2004 she founded together with some remarkable cuban musicians the orchestra La Supersalsa, presenting in her own personal style the most beautiful Salsa songs in honor of the queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz.

In the autumn of 2005 Lily Vazquez and Peter Basler from Basitours in Tbilisi, Georgia started working together and the result was the concert of Lily Vazquez and La Supersalsa, 31th of december 2005, Sheraton Hotel, Ballroom, Tbilisi.
